Luckily, hubby was at work when FedEx delivered Hubby's Christmas pressie. if not no surprise anymore! Ordered the Oakley Live strong sunglass before I left for our road trip...but there was no more stock left... Waited for so long... finally it arrived le! Just at the right time!

Christmas Presents! Loved it!

Today, received 2 christmas gifts! One from hubby and another from Jasmine & Jocelyn! Thank you so much!

Once I received the parcel, I opened up and found a small blur dot and 1 tiny scratch at the back on the pendant . Kinda disappointed! very surprise that the staff do not check before they sent to their customer! Will be exchanging for a new one later at the boutique. Pray hard they have the stock.

When I received the parcel from Amazon, I was puzzled as I don't remember I bought any stuff from there. I opened up and saw the sender was Jasmine & Jocelyn.... surprise! surprise! very nice flip flop and it fits me perfectly!Thanks!

Fabulous News!!!!

Got a Fabulous news from sis early this week...Sis and bro in law are coming to visit us in April 2010. They are planning to have a three weeks vacation here... so hubby have to check on when he can apply for leave so we can arrange for a road trip together.

Another good news, hubby do not have to go for the rest of the deployment anymore... which makes me so happy! No home alone days... anymore!!!! yippi!!! And he can take up to 9.5 days of leave out of the remaining 11.5 in April.

As for the road trip, tentatively, we have plan to go San Diego, others part of San Francisco and Seattle. Will have to discuss further!

First day of Winter

Today is the first day of winter. The weather is so comfortable at around 16 Degrees. 2 more days to Christmas eve. As for our Christmas program, we have not really plan yet!

Got an invitation from Winnie for a potluck session at her house but most probably I might not be attending. Reason being, I am still down with a bad cough and a little flu afraid that I might be spreading to others especially to her newborn.

Hmmm... how should we celebrate our Christmas then? Most likely, we will be having our dinner at Cheesecake factory since hubby has craving for their steak. Then, will be dropping by Deer Park to view their Christmas lighting deco for their houses! Last year, we were there together with my sis... the lighting was simply awesome! Hope this year will be better!!!!

I am Back!!!

Hi all, I am back on blogging! Feel much better now... but the coughing at night is making me so restless... hate it so much! Hope can get well soon!

Never really do much for the past weekends, just went to Galleria for shopping. The Mall was kinda crowded, guess that many were rushing for their last minute Christmas shopping ba! Has not been to Galleria for several months, there is a 2 storey Forever 21 boutique! Oh gosh..the store was so big that I don't know where to start from! LOL! I spotted a few nice tops but just don't have the mood to give it a try! In the end, left emptied handed! Same for VS, Zara and AE!

Went over to Kate Spade to help my sis to check out the bag she wanted. They have the model but not having any in store special sales (priced at USD 165). But luckily, I got it from the website for her. They reduced it to USD 116 and have additional 25% off with free shipping... Simply incredible! Final price USD94 after tax! Singapore was selling this for over SGD300... so ex! Sis was so happy! Item has been shipped... target to receive by Christmas eve!

The last stop was Tiffany & Co. I have been wanting to get their necklace /earring for a long time... but their stuff are always so pricey and always way beyond my budget! we were just browsing and hubby spotted a few necklaces... it was their new arrivals! They were priced between $100 to $150. I immediately fell in love with "I LOVE U" necklace. It was just so irresistible! Hubby bought this for me as my Christmas gift! Thanks, Hubby! The last one was bought by another gentleman so the Staff have to order from other boutique and ship (free) directly to my house... will receive it on Christmas Eve! waiting patiently for it!

I recovered from my bad throat

BUT

now I am down with cough and running nose

Is getting worst now

headache, back ache and having mild fever

Took Panadol FluMax

Feel much better now

Will not be blogging these few days

Need to get lots of rest and get well before Christmas

Freezing Cold

This morning, we had to wake up at 8am to get our medical health report at 9am. We were so reluctant to get off our cozy bed... the moment we stepped into the living room... we were both shivering...morning's weather was dammed cold!!!! Checked the weather forecast.. it was -1 degrees then! We had our breakfast and changed into our winter clothing and set off at 8.45am.

Despite the many layers of clothing... I was still feeling so cold!!!!

Our overall health report turned out well except for our bad Cholesterol level (LDL), it was slightly higher than the average. On the other hand, our good Cholesterol level (HDL) were much higher than the average, which was good! Therefore, we were still considered in a safe zone. Nevertheless, the doctor advised us to exercise and have a healthy diet in order to control Cholesterol. GOD BLESS EVERYTHING WAS FINE!!!!

Forget to mention in yesterday's post

Yesterday, I have a really bad hair day. Can't stand it anymore, went for a haircut! The hairdresser, Yuki had already resigned so I have no choice but to let another lady, young to cut for me. At first, I was kinda worried that she might not understand what I wanted but in the end it turned out pretty good! Love the layers... now my hair is so light and comfy!

Bad Throat.. Argh!!!

I am down with a very bad throat & a little flu

Luckily it only happens after our Florida Trip

If not I'll be super grouchy all day long

The dry weather makes my throat even worst

especially when I wake up in the morning, is so..so painful!

I hate it so much!

Yesterday was even worst, I have a slight migraine

It was impossible for me to prepare dinner at all

Luckily, hubby was on leave till Wednesday,

he helped to whip out 2 simple dishes

while I gave him instructions on what he should do

This was Hubby's FIRST attempt in cooking

I am so worried that the kitchen would turn into a messed

But.... everything turned out pretty well!

I gave him a score of 8/10!

I am so surprised that he did it so well....

Should I let him cook more often???? LOL!!

Guess where am I right now???

I'm at Orlando International Airport

Just in another few hours time I will be back to Dallas

My 9 days magical vacation has ended

Time really files in a blink of an eye... Haiz!!!!

I just wanted MORE.....

Being the first road trip all by ourselves,

we really have lots of fun

and will definitely be looking forward for another vacation together!!!!

day 2 - miami beach

Drove 3.5 hours from Orlando to Miami beach. Reached South Beach in the late morning, the whole place was already crowded with sun-loving people. South Beach, facing the Atlantic Ocean, is the most frequent visit area, the water is relatively clear and warm and the sand is relatively white too! Simply in Love with it!

As we have ample time, we also made a trip to the Northern part of Miami beach along Collin Avenue. Along our way, we passed by a stretch of super exclusive high-rise condos and luxury hotels... very Singapore look alike! We also drove to a nude beach -Haulover beach park in Sunny Isles but in the end did not have a chance to get in as it was raining heavily... a little disappointed though!

The wind was super strong... can't get hold of my hair .... with messy look in most of the pics! preview a few pics first... will upload more when i get back!

our 1st night of disney adventure, went to downtown disney and premium outlet. nothing much in downtown, mainly restaurant and shopping.

this morning, our flight was brought forward

suppose to depart @ 7:10am

when we check in

our boarding pass stated 5:40am

we were lucky to reach the airport at 5am

if not we would have miss our flight

just reached Orlando international airport

claiming our rental car from Budget

apparently, they have some issues with our credit/debit card

not sure why the transaction was not approval

in the end, they got other choices but to cancel our rental confirmation

at that moment, both of us were at a lost

didn't know what to do with it

i was like super sian at that moment!

after calming ourselves down, we have no any choices but to try

other available car rental companies

in the end we paid a little more then wat we should

now on our way to our hotel!

Tomorrow is the day!

I will leave this for hubby to pack

I am extremely excited for this coming Disney Trip

Cannot wait to set my foot at Orlando

It has been my top travel destination in my wish list

Can't believe that my dream will be fulfill

in just another few hours!!!!

Body Check up

After several reminders from the nurses

Hubby and I finally went for our annual health screening this morning

Our appointment was between 9 and 9.30am

we only need to co-pay $10 each under our insurance

For me, I have also opt for the breast cancer screening and pap smear

The last stop, was to take our blood sample

Back home, the nurses need only a test tube of blood

Guess wat? Here required 3 long tubes!

Oh my god!

Luckily, I am not afraid of needles BUT...

the inexperience nurse made me so worried

She took a long time to find my veins

the moment she pierced the needle through my veins

It was dammed painful... So i endure and endure...SOB SOB

coming to the last tube... the nurse did not secure the needle properly

U know wat? the whole needle just slip off from my veins

then my blood keep oozing out...

In the end, she got no other choice but to pierced through my hand area

just to fill up the last test tube

Very sad... now is all bruising liao

Will be collecting my screening report on the 16 Dec

Hope everything will be fine!!!

Let it Snow, Dallas

HO HO HO! First Snow in Dallas Forth Worth this morning

Love it!

There is quite a bit of accumulation of the snow on the roof and grass!

But it was gone as quickly as it began, within an hour!

The snow got me up this morning pretty early

because my bed is just right next to the window

Thanks, yanwen for her MSN! If not I would have miss such an awesome sight!

Base on weather forecast, the next significant chance of snow locally will be

overnight Thursday and Friday morning, the temperature will be below freezing!

Another 3 more days to our Florida Trip!!! Yippi!!!

This is our first ever road trip all by ourselves In USA!

♥ Miami Beach

In November 2007, we went for our honeymoon trip to Japan

Also to Disneyland and Universal studio

That was our First ever Disney Trip

The Christmas decoration were very impressive

and the fireworks were stunning too!!!

Hubby & I have very high expectation for the DisneyWorld

Hope, we will not get disappointed!!!!

Back on Blogging

Was busy babysitting Snowy, Leona's doggy, from 28 to 30 Nov

Snowy is a attention seeker

she will follow me wherever I go

She loves to sleep on my lap

She always bring out her favourite toys & wants me to play with her

If I don't play with her, she will give me a very pity look

Can't stand it!

At night, she will squeak if I leave her alone in her crib

Can't bear to do that so I slept in the living room together with her on the sofa bed

She loves to hide in my fleece blanket and sleep between my legs

Snowy is very obedient! She is potty trained! She seldom barks!

she knows commands for sit, stay, lay and shake hand!

She is such a lovable doggy! Started to miss her!!!

I also help Chloe to babysit her rabbit, Chocolate chips. Chloe is on the road trip to Florida for 8 days. Will be changing the bedding tomorrow as its quite dirty already.

BLACK FRIDAY BUYS

Today, I will update u all on where I went & what I have bought on Black Friday:

1st stop 8pm: Went queuing at BEST BUY located along 121 highway with Eric Hew & Darren. We were amazed that groups of family have already set up tents in line in the afternoon but luckily we were still in the first 20. Waited for 8hours then by 4am the store's shutter was up... suddenly everyone was so alert and started to gather in front of the store. The Sales Rep went down the line handing out tickets. When it was our turned, all the $399 laptops were gone. Kinda disappointed!!! In the end, we paid a little bit more for the Toshiba bundle package (include a 3in1 printer and a laptop case) at $479 with a better processor!
