Potty training in progress

It's been a week plus now, Xavier is learning to use his big boy potty and he's doing really well. So far, we have no more mishaps. Whenever he wants to poo or shss, he will run to me and say "poo" or "shss". Keep up the good job, boy!!!

❤ on a side note, at 20 months and 2 weeks, Xavier weighs 12.2 kg and stand at 87cm

Xavier in float suit

Xavier loves to swim so much
and I promise will try my best to bring him for a swim  once a week
dang dang... this is the new float suit we bought for him..
this is a "must have" toddlers essentials for summer sun and fun
comfortable, enable him to float more freely
Xavier definitely feel more secure and more willing to kick and kick
and splashing around in the water

3rd day of school

Needless to say, Xavier had a little meltdown when we dropped him off school today
Other than the dramatics scenes in the morning, everything went well in school

Got some snap shots when we sneak a peek around the corner to observe how he enjoyed his imaginary play time with other kids

Happy Papa's Day update =D

"A Father is neither an anchor to hold us back
Nor a sail to take us there
But a guiding light whose love show us the way"

We love you!

Xavier presented a little dedication for his papa
handmade by mama:
a T-shirt in paper bag wrapper with neck tie
and a 12X12 scrapbook page

Hope you like it :)

Homemade papa's day signs for scrapbook photos

On father's day, we had lunch at japan house and window-shop at allen

On our way to allen, I spotted a sunflower plantation
Oh my god, it's so beautiful and totally took my breadth away

Gather everyone to take a group photo

The weather was awesome so we ended our day at the pool

2nd day of school

In the morning, Xavier was doing fine when we walked him to his classroom
But I could feel that he was rather tensed up
The hysterics came the moment when we waved bye bye to him and left the classroom
He cried and called out for us
My heart wrenched and I was tempted to go back into the class and pacify him
But i did not!
He stop crying after awhile and joined other kids for Jesus Jam
Phew!!! Hope he will grow out of it soon!

Class 101

After dropping Xavier off school, it's time for movie date with hubby
"Fast and Furious 6" - I definitely recommend the movie
Anyway, when we left the cinema, I told hubby maybe next time
we should bring Xavier along. HAHA! I do not know maybe he's still too young to watch movie

Cinemark @ Lewisville Early Bird tickets

Breakfast at Chick-Fil-A

Love the little play area - one day will bring Xavier to explore

Taken before the start of the movie..

Before we set off to school, happened to pass by a coin machine
hubby wanted to try his luck to pick a minions for Xavier
Awww~ so sweet!
Too bad! failed despite numerous of tries .... HAHA!

We were back to school at 2.45pm. I peeped into the class and found him standing while Ms Alma was telling a story. I think he happened to look at me and that was it - he burst into tears.. aww~ We hugged and then gave me a peck on my cheek!

I wonder how much time he'd take to get comfortable with the school cos he goes only two days a week. He'd at least understand that it's a part of the routine and be well settled in school :-)

First Day of Preschool

Well the day has come
My baby boy started preschool today and I still can't believe it!
I have to praise him for not crying and having a meltdown when papa and mama dropped him off on his first day.
He did better than we thought
He took his lunch and nap for 1.5 hours
We are so proud of you cheeky boy!
Keep up the good job!
Hope that in no time to come, you will bid bye to us every time we drop you off in school =D
Here's my cheeky boy, can't wait to set off

Queuing up for Jesus Jam - First in line teacher, Ms Alma
Can you see him? the 2nd in line

20 months old!!!

Here we are again, another month has passed. Xavier is 20 months old! Only 4 shorts months away from TWO... oh boy, how is this possible?
I am loving this age in many ways but it is so bittersweet watching my baby boy grow up. He's all little boy now and not a baby at all anymore
Xavier has been interested in alot of the same things as previous months and he's talking even more too. We had a bit of language explosion this month... alot more new words/Phrases

Everyday he surprises me with the things he remembers and says

Like the other day, I was reading his favourite book - Dear Zoo
He will say or actions:
Elephant - he'll cover his nose and move his little hand like a trunk
Frog - leaping up and down
Lion roar
Cat meow
Dog bark
Snake hiss
Bee buzz

New learnt body parts - arm, elbow, forehead, chin, cheeks

He's able to point and name all of them
He's a real fast learner!

He's obsesse with his new book - insects and birds

new words - peacock, ants, dragonfly
He couldn't stop repeating "Pea..cock"

Also starts to speak in phrases:
He will say
" I want ____"

for the past one week, he has started to tell me when he needs to poo and he will hold until he sit on his potty. Keep up the good job!
I like an approach where I don't have to pressure or push him to potty train
I know it's a battle I won't win... I know he will do it once he's ready

Yesterday, he did another amazing thing
He went pee pee in the potty
Not once but twice!!!
We are so so proud of you!

Here are a few random pics about Xavier at this age:

Happy 20 months, Xavier!
Each day, you make mama and papa feel even more blessed to be your parents
We love you so, sooo much!

Happy papa's Day 2013

Happy papa's day to the BEST father Xavier could ever ask for
It has been so amazing to watch you with him over the last 20 months
You truly have so much LOVE, PATIENCE and COMPASSION for this kiddo
I couldn't imagine a better father for our son

I love when he runs to you and utter the words papa , he always melted your heart
I love seeing him run to kiss and hug you at the door at the end of each day
I love listening him ask "Where is papa" multiple times when he woke up from bed

You give the best shoulder rides
the best baths
and always seem to know just what to say or do to keep a fast approaching tantrum at bay

Thank you for all that you do and for being such a wonderful role model to our little cheeky boy

On a side note, Xavier was taught to say "Happy papa's day" and papa heard it loud and clear! Good job, boy!!!

I will be back to post more photos !

Daphne's 4th Birthday

Last Friday 7 June ,
We attended Daphne's 4th Birthday at Chuck E Cheese
Our first time attending Chuck E Cheese party
Xavier was really excited, super excited!
This is definitely a place a kid would love
Xavier had the best time

There is a booth where I can get a black and white portrait for just one token (the equivalent of 25 cents). It's a bargain and I'm still grinning!

Present for Daphne wrapped and decorated with scrapbook materials
So sweet right?
