Our Simple Weekends

18 May

There's really not much of a weekend update to speak of.

Had tim sum at JS chen and grocery shopping at Taiwan Supermarket and 99 Ranch,
my new favourite asian market
I love going to 99 Ranch because of the bakery
Yummy! Is really good! I have yet to eat anything that has disappoint me
The best part is that they are still warm from the oven and each costs only $1.50 or less
Lots of selection just like Singapore bread talk

Xavier: mama, you are squeezing me too hard!!!!

Xavier favourite new pose! Cute to the MAX

Went willow bend to do a little summer clothes shopping but was pretty uneventful
this is the place I love to shop cause it's always not crowded
and our cheeky boy will get to roam freely all by himself

He loves the kiddy rides and the play area in the mall
kept on moving around from one ride to another
Playing peek-a-boo and messing up the clothing in F21
Waving and saying Hi to all passerby
Just cant control my laughter

CA Road Trip: Day 7 (Last Day) Downtown Disney

11 May Saturday

Today was the last day of our vacation
before we head to San Diego Airport
We had a quick jaunt over to Downtown Disney

The highlights were the Lego store and Ridemakerz

I could not believe the life size characters someone was able to create with lego- Incredible!

Isn't this amazing? The detail on the magic carpet was incredible

Ridemakerz is pretty much to Build a bear but for car lovers

This store is good for boy and girl.. The picture tell a thousand words

Is so cool to customize our own car
making a choice between Mater and Lightning McQueen remote control car
at the end, we go ahead with Lightning McQueen

start by selecting the body, wheels, rims and tires
Once done, Hubby start putting all the parts together on the workbench.

Hubby @ work

Last few pictures before making our way to Airport

Bye Bye California!

CA Road Trip: Day 6 Disneyland

10 May Friday

I remember going to Disneyland with hubby and my sis during our first trip in Jan 2009
These years have gone by way too fast
And now, I'm taking Xavier there eventually because he, like most kids, loves all Disney show and is enamored with all things Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck!
At first, I thought maybe Xavier was going to be a little too young to enjoy it really, but oh boy, was I wrong... He Loved it so much!!!!

On Tram to Disneyland
Love his smile

As soon as we entered Main street we saw Minnie Mouse

Patiently waiting for his turn

As usual, he ran over and gave her a big hug

Minnie Mouse gave kisses to Xavier too!

Trying to give a kiss to Donald! Omg

Using all his strength to remove the Sword! Haha!

Xavier riding on papa's neck while enjoying the Disneyland band in front of the castle
He rock and bound to the rhythm
Haha! Made Papa so tired...

Rest and had some snack

And look at all those teeth!

Love you, cheeky boy!

Finally a group photo before moving on to Fantasyland

My favorite ride of all "It's a small world"

Next, we hop on Disneyland Railway
to have an overview scenery of the park

Love his dreamy eyes

Trying to fake sleep and half way through the journey
he really dozed off. Haha!

We head towards Mickey's Toontown and had our lunch

Brought Xavier to Mickey's House after he woke up from nap

For the grand finale, Xavier got to meet Mickey Mouse!

Meeting with all characters

High five with goofy before he left for the day

Sad... didnt get to meet Winnie the pooh & Tigger

Night shot for the castle... Beautiful!

We ended our day at the park with the
spectacular Fantasmic show on the Rivers of America

All in all it was a good day. It was definitely crowded and definitely hot. But, it was worth it knowing our cheeky boy was having a great time.  Next time though, if there is ever a next time, I want to go during winter..
