Tonight's affair!

Tonight, Hubby, me and his colleagues decide to camp outside BEST BUY. Hubby just wanting to grab the cheap TOSHIBA laptop priced at $339. Time check, now is 5.47pm another 12hours before the doorbuster sales start at 5am.. people have already started to stand in line le! Super Kaisu lor! Weather is so cold today.. between 6 to 17 degrees only. We will have to wear layers of clothing in order to withstand such a chilly weather!

After BEST BUY, we will head to Walmart to grab for more cheap toys... Leapfrog and fisher priced...... hope there are still stocks when we are there! Stay tune!

Indeed is a fruitful trip!

Just back from our coupon shopping at CVS and Walgreens. Our first trip was to CVS pharmacy, spent almost 2 full hours at the store. Got all items as planned. Split into 2 transactions per card. Paid only $3.44 for all items and profit-making was $24.18. Current Extra bucks status is $90. Oh my gosh! That's alot rite?

We left CVS at about 1am and headed to the nearby 24hours Walgreens. We were being told that the sales will only commences at 5am. So we went home to take a rest as for yy he met up Alice & Alan at the CVS store. With yy's help, they managed to get lots of goodies too!

At 3.15am, yy informed that the 24hours Walgreens has allowed them to purchase the free items so Hubby and I rushed down immediately. By right, each person is only limit to 1 purchase. But, the Store Manager gave us an exception that allows us to purchase 3 transactions per person. In order to achieve our target for the day, we have to drive to others Walgreens store to get the other items we wanted.
Items bought on our first visit at Walgreens (paid $3)

After that, we had Macondale breakfast and reached home at around 7.30am. At 8.30am, I went for my 2nd round of coupon shopping at Walgreens with yy, just located outside our apartment. By 9am, the store has started to get crowded. I followed closely to my deals scenario and had 9 separate transactions. Only paid $4 for all items! Super satisfied with the outcome!Current status of Register Rewards: $41.

All in all, I only spent $10.44 for items worth over $200. Super Shiok! What a fruitful day for me!!!!

Tonight is the Night!

This year, Black Friday 2009 will be on the 27th of November. Being the day after Thanksgiving, this last Friday of November is known as a day of huge discounts and bargains for all kind of products especially the toys and electronic stuff.

Most of the stores will be opening at 5am but heard that many of the shoppers will start camping outside the stores much earlier just to get hold on the doorbuster deals. The queue can start as early as 12am. A bit "Kwa zhang" rite!

As this year will be our last Black Friday Sales, hubby and I most probably will join in the fun of queuing but not decided on the location yet. Plan to pack plenty of snacks and water so that we will have something to eat and drink while both of us wait in line or drive between stops.

To kick off the Black Friday Sales, we will be heading to 24hours Drugstores (CVS and Walgreens) tonight to get all the freebies as shown in their Black Friday Advertisement. I have been gathering newspapers and printable coupons for this past few days, now I am fully geared up for tonight's coupon shopping!

my coupon file & deal scenario for tonight

Must have items for coupon shopping

Hope tonight will be a fruitful trip!!!!

Lovely Monday!

Yesterday, hubby was on guard duty off which means he did not need to report to work. We started our day at 2pm. For our 1st stop, we headed to Market Street Pharmacy for our H1N1 influenza (aka swine flu) nasal spray vaccines. This is a a new virus that have spread to many countries so we decided to take up this vaccine to built up our immunity. We only have to co-pay $10 each under the insurance coverage.

Next, we went to Fry's, Target, Walmart & Best Buy to do some research on the low price items that we are hoping to score so that we will know what's really a deal and what's not before on Black Friday. So far, we have plan to buy a laptop from Best Buy and a 1TB/500G hardisk at Target.

At Super Target (toy section), they were having price cut for playskool and leapfrog toys. To take advantage of the store promotion, I have coupled with three $5 printable coupons and my remaining gift card value. In the end, I only paid $8 for each toy! Good buy! In love with leapfrog educational toys!

Next, we also went to Super Target to get the baby wipes. They are currently priced at $0.29 after deducting $1 off coupon. Unbelievable rite? Is so cheap! Alice, me & YY grabbed 11, 10 & 2 boxes respectively. I also bought a super cutie Leapfrog learning toy..only $9.99 after $10 off coupon. Heard from friends that Leapfrog / Fisher-price toys are very pricey back home... so will start stocking up a few for this upcoming Thanksgiving sales! All FREE after gift card!

Sunday- a cloudy day!

We started our day late at about 12noon. We had our left over curry puff for breakfast and our favourite hot chocolate! Yummy!
As usual, we went for coupon shopping at CVS. Used $5 off $25 and $5 off $30 to sweeten my deals! Only paid $1.09 and now I have accumulated a total of $30 extra bucks for next purchase... Looking forward for Black Friday sales on 25 Nov 09 midnight.... CVS have lots of items on sales... will definitely make a killing LOL!

Then, we headed to Irving Mall for bowling. We had 3 games each. Hubby best score was only 140 and for me only 120... Haiz!!! getting from bad to worst le! Will have to do more training.
Next, we headed home for dinner. I whipped up 2 simple dishes - Tomatoes with egg and stir-fry chicken with lettuce in Korean sauce and porridge with dried scallop.

Lovely Saturday

On Saturday, we woke up at 9am to prepare our breakfast. We have homemade curry puff. Hubby helped me out on the potatoes and the egg. For me, I'm in charge of stir-fried the chicken meat and the potatoes with curry powder. Never do much filling so managed to make 4 only! The one in the crescent shape was made by hubby... the rest were all done by me! This was our first attempt making pastry... I would say is a success!

After that, we went to Vista Ridge Mall and Target to redeem our gift cards! Also got a Victoria Secret reward card from Wei qiang (Thank you!).

♥ 2 nos $10 gift card from Vista Ridge Mall

♥ 1no $20 gift card from Target

♥ VS secret reward card worth at least $10

Next, we went shopping at Grapevine! I got 2 tops from Forever 21 and also redeemed my free panty from Victoria Secret. Then, we had our dinner at Chilli's.

Lobster! Lobster!

Our dinner for tonight was Homemade noodle with Lobster! Yummy! This was my first attempt and luckily it turned out really well. I started preparing all the ingredients at 5pm... most important was the soup base. I used the lobster head, chicken stock and a portion of shrimp shell for the soup base and simmered it for about 45mins. It turned out very tasty... the lobster was fresh too! Will definitely buy from Hmart again....

Christmas Present!

This morning, I went Allen outlet together with Winnie. This is her first time driving on the highway... good job! We did it! We took highway 121.... it took us approximately 30mins to reach our destination.

Our first stop was Coach. Winnie returned her stuff and got a few for her relatives. As for me, I got something too but cannot relieve yet... it was suppose to be a surprise for my best friends back in Singapore! Just hope that the double "J" will like it! wink wink!

Next, we went baby gap outlet. Oh my gosh... they were having 40% in store discount ... we also got another additional 30% printable coupon. All in all 70% off! The baby clothings were so cute.... cannot resist them anymore! I also bought a few... unisex colour! Will go back this weekend with hubby to grab for more! LOL!
Christmas present for double "J"

Only $4 bucks each..

Life is not boring anymore

With Hubby around, my life is not boring anymore! Do not have to shop, eat and sleep alone all by myself le.... simply wonderful! Wink, Wink..

Yesterday, we started our day late at around 12noon. We have our brunch at the Vietnamese restaurant then headed to Yue Mei, Hmart & Walmart for marketing. Spent a total of 40bucks for next week's groceries. The most expensive item was the lobster.. 2 Little one, weigh about 1.5 Lb priced at $8.80. Hubby loves Lobster!.... will be cooking this weekend but I have absolutely no idea what to cook with it. Think have to refer to cooking blog for help!

By the time we finished marketing, it was already 3.30pm. Initially, we have plan to shop at Allen premium outlet but due to time constraint, we have to change our destination to Grapevine instead. HAHA! Didn't manage to get anything.. left emptied handed!

In the evening, we went Applebee's for dinner together with Hubby's colleague. Applebee's was having the Veterans Day promotion for all active military personnel whereby everyone will get a free selected entree. We reached at 7pm, the store was already fully packed. We waited for 30mins before we got a seat. We order a platter to share (6 of us), me - cheese pasta... for hubby - 7oz steak with added cheese and grilled prawns... only paid $4 each..(includes - drinks, tips and platter). Very satisfied!

Money making day

After dinner, hubby brought me to Walgreens, CVS along Denton Tap & Super Target (Lewisville).

Last weekend, I bought medicine from Walgreens paid using my existing $10 RR and got back another $10RR. My purpose was just to extend the reward's expiration date. Since I do not need any of the medicine, I returned all of them and got back $15 cash but I still get to keep my $10RR. I also bought the Almay Pure Blend foundation (last one on the shelf) for $9.99, paid using by $8RR and got another extended $10RR! So happy... Still have another $8RR & $5RR in hand.. cracking my brain on how to extend them!!!!

For CVS, I bought another few money making deals - paid using $7.99 extra bucks (EB) and get to earn $7 and $3 EB in returned.

Last weekend deals

The best deal is the glade offer at Target. The current deals - buy 5 selected glade items will get $5 Target gift card! I bought 4 boxes -4ct candle refills and 1 candle tin holder, paid $3.24 (after all coupon) but in the end the cashier did not generate the gift card for me. I wondering why? Went to the customer service then realise that this offer is only applicable to certain scents, so in the end I got to return all of them. U know wat? They returned me full price plus tax... in the end I got back $14 bucks (include the coupon value)!

All in all, profit making for today is about $20 bucks. Unbelievable rite?

Oh yah, one last thing to mention... I also received all my F21 clothing... mummy's top looks good but for mine... the sizes were too big le.. so have to return them tomorrow!

Hubby is back!

Hubby just call me awhile ago, he's on his way back le! Yeah! So happy! Finally my 10 days home alone ... ending soon! Tomorrow is Veteran Day - USA holiday. Heard that tomorrow they still need to go back to work. Normally after back from deployment, they will have a day off. Not sure about this time! Keeping my fingers cross now!

Woke up at 11.30am.. did my laundry and vacuum the floor. Also prepare our dinner for tonight. It will be fried rice and Spicy Okra aka lady fingers. Started planning for next week's menu, came up with a tentative one:

♥Wed (Veteran Day) - Lunch: leftover for today; dinner - dine-out

I just want to tell you

I just want to tell you
I love you with all my heart
I wish for us to be together
Never shall we be apart

I just want to tell you
You put the smile on my face
I want to be by your side
I don't want to be any other place

I just want to tell you
You mean so much to me
I see you as nothing less than the world
And that I want you to see

I just want to tell you
I wouldn't be able to live without you
Without the comfort you give
There's nothing I could do

I just want to tell you
I thank you for being there
You've always given me a shoulder to lean on
And you always care

I just want to tell you
I think of you every moment of the day
And how much I love you
Words could never even say

Farewell to a friend!

Yesterday was Agnes and family's farewell. Liyi and me tagged along Mrs Hew's car to the airport (thanks!). Actually I hate saying farewell.. everytime I sent someone off ... the after feeling is weird! I just cannot describe it. Maybe it always reminds me that we are the next batch to return home. In another 7 months, we are going home le! Oh my god, the thought of it made me really sad!!! ~~~SOB SOB~~~

To stop making myself so miserable, I went shopping at Walmart! For me, shopping is always a good way of managing my emotions! HAHA! At that moments, I will become an impulsive shopper! Sound horrible rite?

When I reached Walmart, I started to grab things that I will hardly eat/use....like cracker, chocolate, detergent, soda etc.... after 1.5hours of going round and round...it makes me feel much better! During check out, I only selected the items that I wanted to buy! As for the rest, the staff have to help me to put them back, so poor thing! In the end, I got $24 worth of stuff but paid only $7 after all coupons!

I have been using the Glade candle since hubby not around. The scent really helps me to fall asleep and always feel so refresh after that! Bought a few more since i have coupons..

Open the mailbox - received my FREE DVD from DisneyWorld & a $20 Free gift card for buying Baby items. Still don't know what to buy? I don't have BB yet, is it too early to buy now? Haiz! ???????
