Currently at 19 weeks
As routine,
urine check - normal . sugar levels to check for gestational diabetes, bacteria to indicate that you may have a urinary tract infection, or the presence of protein

weight -gain within an acceptable range of 2.4kg

blood pressure - normal

Next, we proceed to visit Dr Ong

he is very nice, gentle and professional and never gives me a feeling being rushed during the appointment. we are so pleased to be in his care.

Now, comes to the last part of the visit- ultrasound

the moment Dr Ong place the device on my bulging belly

I can see Xavier laying comfortably in my womb :)

Then, Dr Ong determine Xavier's weight by

calculating the head circumference, stomach circumference & length of the limbs

Wow.... he has grew from 130grames to 300grames within 4weeks

Oops... Baby Xavier's weight is above average!

is Xavier going to be a big baby??????

The scan above confirmed our baby is a boy

they even did a measurement of Xavier's genitals

Now is only 0.45cm... isn't that cute????

And our next appointment will be on

shopping Time!

Last weekend, went Expo Robinson Sales with sis, Bro in law & mum
Preparing to spend my $100 Robinson voucher
Went in with an empty bag, within second is all filled up with baby’s stuff
Bought:
Many sets of clothing (price 2 for $5; 2 for $10)
Bedding set in animal print (comforter, 1 pillow & 1 bolster)
Stroller cushion pad
Baby socks
Baby board books (first word, animal & numbers)
Definitely more to come………..

On Vesak day, sis & I had another round of shopping
This time is at orchard
We started our day at around 11am & ended at 7pm
Sis bought a pair of Nine West grey wedge for herself
&
Not forgetting baby Xavier, sis also bought clothing for Xavier from FOX kids
Our favourite piece: grey Mickey Mouse swim suit
Isn’t that cute?? Can’t wait to bring you out for a swim
We also signed up for FOX membership (*is free & it comes with great perks*)

Naming our little prince

Our baby boy is growing and mummy & daddy are getting excited day by day! I'm into my 18 weeks of pregnancy and baby will soon be able to detect noise outside the womb and identify our voices. I guess is time to decide on our baby's name. Baby needs to be loved, nurtured, acknowledged and accepted. Naming definitely helps to create prenatal bonding with him.

Shortlisted a few names:

3. Jayden

The moment hubby saw the list, we simultaneously pick option 1. At that moment, we knew that "Xavier Low" will be the perfect name for our little boy.

Ah dear will be away for his deployment for next 2 weeks.
Baby & I will definitely miss him lots....

stepping into 16 weeks!

My baby's legs are now longer than the arms and I should be starting to feel him move, especially since there's still a lot of room to move within the uterus.My baby's fingernails and toenails are growing too! How exciting! However I have not felt my baby move. I can't wait!

A miracle in the making

To all my dear friends, sorry for MIA for so long.. There were times that I wanted so much to pen down how I feel but due to old wives tales, I can only publicly announce it after 3 months. Don't get it wrong, I'm not being a superstitious mum but I rather choose to believe than sorry.

So far, I am 15weeks down, finally is the beginning of the second trimester, which is the most comfortable period for me. I am feeling more energetic and able to sleep better throughout the night (I got to pee 1 to 2 times; but go right back to sleep). I have a tiny bump not noticeable yet.

On 29 April, I went for the 5th ultrasound hoping that my gynae, Mr Douglas Ong will be able to find out the sex of my little one. Baby was sound asleep with both leg cross when the scan was done, Mr Ong got to move my belly to wake baby up. He did that for quite sometime but baby just refuse to cooperate. Just when he decided to give up, baby miraculous moves and Mr Ong caught a glimpse of it and confirmed that that is a baby-boy to be. It make it all seem so real! It was such an amazing moment.

1st scan: 16 Feb 11; 5 weeks old (EDD: 22 Oct 11)

2nd scan: 23 Feb 11; 6weeks old


3rd scan: 12 Mar 11; 8weeks old; 1.81cm

4th scan: 31 March 11; 10+weeks old; 4.63cm

5th scan: 29 Apr 11; 15weeks old, 9.24cm (130g)

The next visit will be in a month time, 27 May 11. Will update you guys again!!!!!
