Buddy used to clap with his fists closed but a couple of weeks ago he started putting his hands out flat. He'd still let me clap his hands for him - not trying to do it himself but he'd appear to be very proud that his hands were flat so that his palms slapped together and made noise.
This afternoon while sitting in his high chair having his snack, buddy started clapping when he hear us singing nursery songs. Totally umprompted. And he was so proud of himself. Papa and ah ma clapped and praised him- and he kept clapping and gave us a smile.
Buddy newly learnt gesture, patting his heart = I'm scare (LOL!)
Opening and closing his hand = Twinkle Twinkle little star (still learning)
