Forever 21 TOP for mummy

Yesterday, I stayed up until 12am just to order F21 stuff for mummy... but I did not know what happened... my system was down, couldn't make any order. In 15 mins, my system seems to recover but all the tops i wanted were all OOS (Out of Stock) in that split seconds! Haiz! So in the end I did not make any purchase!

Today, I kept browsing F21 website, just hoping that they might upload new items. DA!DA! found a new top under clearance ($5.04 after tax)... very nice colour... look like my mummy style! HAHA! Hope she likes it! One and only piece left... after I purchased.. the picture was being removed le... Lucky lucky me! Nice?

Lazy Day For us!

At 12.30pm, we were woken up by a phone call from Hubby's workplace. After that, we tried to go back to sleep but we were both super hungry... our stomach were growling & growling! We have no choice but to wake up to prepare our brunch, bread with ham & cheese with coffee.

After our brunch, Hubby glued to his new gadget for almost 2 hours exploring the softwares, downloading new songs & transferring to IPOD.

As for me, I was busy checking for new coupons and emails. Received Forever 21 email, they are offering 3 days free shipping with no minimum purchase required (USE CODE: F21FRIENDS) starting from 31 Oct till 2 Nov. After that email, I was also glued to my laptop browsing F21 website. HAHA!

Found a few nice & cheap tops for mummy ($4.99 each only). Heard from sis that mummy slim down alot so now not sure what size should i get for her... should be between size M or L ba. Can't decide... so hubby brought me to the store to check out the sizes.

only saw the green colour top but not the rest... size M looks kinda small so decided to get size L for her.

We also signed up another JC Penny $10 Gift Voucher (check out this link). In the end, we bought 2 extra-firm pillows at $1.50 each after voucher!

Initially, we planned to have our dinner at Saltgrass Steakhouse but we gave up the idea cos' tomorrow we will be having a section farewell dinner at Japanese restaurant along Plano. Just don't want to spend too much!

we have run out of tibits at home...

so have to grab some before hubby going for his depolyment!

Tomorrow, hubby will be on off again! Hooray!

As usual, they will have 1 day off before they set off on Sunday morning!

Still have no idea where to go yet!

But hubby will be bringing me to Saltgrass steakhouse for dinner!

Wonderful Night!

After the accident on 18 August 2009, our car is finally ready for collection. Life without car is so so miserable. Hubby went to collect it on the way back home after work. He reached home at around 5.30pm but got to leave home again by 6pm to pick up his new gadget at Galleria.

Guess what he bought this time? Is the latest model of 3rd generation IPOD touch. What to do? Guy always in love with gadgets! Hubby have been wanting to get this many months ago but the price was really on the high side ($300 plus before tax). He has been monitoring since then! Finally, he saw a good deal at ebay... selling at $250 completely new still in the box.. current selling price is $295 before tax. Hubby asked for my opinion and I gave him the "green light" to purchase it. HAHA! Hubby knew I don't like him to spend too much on all this gadgets.

By 8pm, dinner was ready but Hubby and yy still doing their gym at Vista Point. I waited for hubby to have dinner together. Tonight's dinner was hubby favourite Hainanese Chicken Rice. This time, I did not use any ready pack paste... i did it from scarp! The chicken was super tender and tasted great. However would need further improvement for the rice... a little too blend. We only managed to finish half chicken.. save the rest for tmr's lunch!

After dinner, hubby went to the garage to settle his car. He polished up the blurred headlight, vacuum and hang a new air freshener. Now it smell really great! Since the weather is so nice, we decided to take a stroll as well as to open the mail box. Got my Disney world map... they were extremely cute.. with all the cartoons characters! Can't bare to use them... LOL!

Surprise ! Surprise!

Yesterday, hubby came home at around 12.30am. I was almost alseep by then. Hubby woke me up and gave me a little surprise. Awww~~~ He handed me a bag. I opened it and Da..Da~~ it was a puma jacket (>-<). This was the design that I have wanting to get it ... but there was no sizes for me. I am surprised hubby still remember it... HAHA! very thoughtful of him! I tried it on and hubby started to snap a few pics... I was in my PJ and super messy hair!

Today, I got another surprised from Hubby. He sent me a phone message - "Ah dear, can help me find my army jacket? Is it in the room wardrobe?" I went to the wardrobe and found a white envelope hanging by my Adidas jacket. Guess wat? Is a lovely card with Hubby's Love note to me! Thank you so much, hubby! Although, this is not something extraordinary but definitely it came from your heart. I LOVE IT!

Wat's for dinner?

Just received Hubby's call awhile ago, he & Eric brought the VIPs to Allen for shopping! Later, they would be bringing them for dinner @ Hooters before coming home! Tomorrow, the VIP will be leaving so hubby have to wake up at 6am and to reach the airport by 7am.

After sending them off, Hubby most probably have to report back to work. Still not sure whether will he be given a half day off on Wednesday. So, I have to prepare his packed lunch for tomorrow just in case. His lunch will be Japanese Curry with pasta. This is the first time i cooked with pasta. Surprisingly, it tasted better than rice. I think is the veggie pasta I used... it just tasted sweeter. The Wacky pasta is available at Tom Thumb, bought it @ $0.70 after coupon.

I wanted to cook some dishes with the leftover sweet potatoes in the fridge before it gone bad. So, started browsing others' cooking blog and managed to find a simple dessert - Sweet potatoes soup.

27 Oct 2009 - Our 2nd Wedding Anniversary

Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary, Hubby!

Yesterday, I did a little surprise for hubby while he was out fetching the VIP from the airport. With the help from http://www.smilebox.com/ software, I did a 15-page slide show of photos of our most memorable moments so that both of us can each have a reminder of how we got to this point. Hubby loves it... simple & meaningful! It brought back many happy memories.. I snuggled beside him and watched it together. We just couldn't believe how much we have changed all these years.....

A great romantic anniversary celebration is not always about buying extravagant gift for each other. For us, we prefer doing those small things with great love as one. So this year's anniversary, we intend to spend one whole day together doing the things that we love. Then, we'll go for a scrumptious dinner. Sound great rite! But, hmmm............ today hubby will be busy bringing the VIP around so we have to postpone our celebration le!

Another year to create precious memories together.

Lazy Sunday!

For this week's menu, I did not plan anything special cos wanna to clear most of the stuff in the refrigerator before hubby going for his detachment from 1 Nov to 10 Nov. Without hubby around, I will not cook for myself instead I will have finger food like hotdogs, nuggets, my favourite yogurt etc. So, I have came up with a simple menu based on what I already have:

♥Sun: Sambal Fried Rice

♥Wed: Broccoli & Stir-fry chicken

♥Thur: Tom Yan soup with rice

♥ Fri: Japanese Curry Rice

Moreover, hubby was the assigned driver for the VIPs from Singapore on Monday & Tuesday. Hence, he did not need to report to work at base which means I did not need to cook for him. Hooray!

Since, no marketing was needed. Hubby & I woke up kinda late at around 2.30pm in the afternoon. We were starving... could practically hear our stomach growling! LOL! Couldn't stand it anymore, we quickly get ourselves ready and headed to Mac with yy for our brunch.

Next, they went over to the salon for their haircut. yy was happy with the outcome but was dissatisfied with their service. He paid extra for the shampooing but the hairstylist took less than a minute to complete it. She was just rushing through as there were others waiting in the line. I doubt yy will be back again!

Then, we started our couponing shopping at CVS & walgreen. This week, there were a couple of good deals:

At first, he seems lost but he's a fast learner.. and got the hang of it pretty fast. In the end, he also got himself some dove items with coupons and earned his first $10 rewards in CVS!

Wonderful Saturday Evening

On Saturday, we have arranged a potluck session at Summit leasing office for Agnes's farewell. The event started punctually at 5.30pm. We also took this opportunity to get to know other wives that just arrived. All the wives put in lots of effort in this event! Sophine and I were responsible for beverages so we did not require to prepare any food. The nicest food among all was Joyce's Mee siam. I love it! Super delicious... would definitely get the recipe from her. We got Agnes a coach waist pouch for her farewell gift. (thanks, joyce!). The event ended at around 8pm.

After the event, Liyi, CT and me headed to Dallas downtown to met up hubby & yy for the Hollween costume competition. This is a yearly event whereby many would dress up in different costumes and show off during their walked down competition. We reached at around 9pm, the event had already started and it was very crowded. Luckily, we still managed to find a good spot for the photo taking. The contestants were very spontaneous... these were the costumes which hubby & myself likes....

This is a very special event which back home we will never get to see! Great experience!

Cold & Windy Day!

Hubby came home at 4am yesterday. As usual, he was the last to leave! I was already in my dreamland by 2.30am but was woken up when hubby opened the door. While he was bathing, I made him a simple supper - bread with cheese and pepperoni. He was surprised, he thought I would have continued my sleep. LOL! I was hungry so had a cup of milk and we we had a small conversation about his day at work. Everyday, hubby would tell me what happened at work... u all must be thinking so boring rite! But I love listening to it! (women loves gossip) At 5pm, we entered into our dreamland!!!!!

Woke up at 10am this morning. Hubby still sleeping soundly like a little piggy! I started preparing the necessary ingredients for our lunch. Lunch was Yong Tau Foo, egg with hotdogs, left over curry fish & sweet potatoes porridge. I didn't realise I have so many dishes already... and I still prepared 2 pieces of prata. In the end, hubby only managed to finish 1 piece of prata... the other 1 have to throw away!Kinda waste!

Today's weather is cold & windy. Average temperature was about 8-16 degrees. I opened the windows to let in some fresh air.. Have not been doing that for the past few days.. the house seems a little stuffy.....But today was so cold until I had to wrap myself up with the fleece blanket.. look just like a mummy! LOL! Couldn't stand it anymore... hubby helped me to close the windows before he left for work at 2.30pm.

Tomorrow evening at around 5pm, there will be a Deepavali celebration at base. Dinner will be provided. Hubby do not have to report to work... Hooray! Shall plan where to go in the morning... most probably, will be going to CVS to grab for this week extra bucks items then to vista ridge mall to exchange for hubby's AE t-shirt, Victoria secret to get my free panty. Then, we'll be home for late lunch!
