Our Day Out with Thomas 2014

We took Xavier to a day out with Thomas at the Vintage Railroad in Grapevine last Saturday

Despite the grey clouds, cold weather and a few sprinkles here and there, 

we still had fun!

strolling along the city main street to our destination

As we arrived, we were greeted by Thomas who were awaiting for his next passengers

There were so many fun activities for children:

Bubble machine - love popping all the bubbles

Went to a short tour in the historical Museum 

A tent full of train tables and building activities

Model Trains

Here comes Thomas 

First play in a giant sandbox
Didn't expect him to love playing sand so much...

A mini petting zoo - bunnies, goats, ducks and chickens

Xavier loves it and spent most of the time there

 I'm happy that he's not fearful of animals

He was so gentle and carefully stroking it over it's neck

So cute!

WHEW! What a wonderful day! xavier was out before we pulled out of Grapevine!

Cultural Fun with Incredible kids

2 weeks ago, Xavier's school hosted its 2nd Annual Cultural Day
The group of Singapore mummies signed up and put together a simple but yet informative 
presentation to all the kids and teachers
 Taking time to teach the kids about other cultures while they are young is such a valuable lesson. Very meaningful and memorable experience!

After weeks of planning and discussion... 
DADA~~  here's our booth 
presentation board, flag as souvenir and roti prata as local food for them to try

The following were the countries presented by other parents:

The kids were divided into groups... 1st group were the bigger kids
they were so attentive 
All thanks to Meiling for her creative presentation 

Roti Prata was a hit... most of the kids and teacher loved it so much
thumbs up!

Xavier trying his best to be attentive .... but I doubt he understood 

after the kids visited all the booth... they were all given a sticker on the passport

love it!
