Had lots of shopping over the weekends! Got many great buys....

More baby stuff:

1. Toys R Us - Bought 4 baby einstein dvds (buy 1 get 1 & coupled with coupons) - final price $14 for all (choose by hubby) & 2 Vtech toys for the price of one
2. Joann - 70% clearance for vinyl wall deco.. grab 4 for future baby room (safari theme) cute rite?

For me: Forever 21 - sales corner is always the place I will head to when i step into the shop! Got 2 super cheap & nice tops 1) Sleeveless knite wear original $22 now only $10 2) grey top original price at $18 now only $5 3) black and pink work top chiffon material at $9.50 only .... cheap cheap....

Also, got a fold down yoga crop pants from Victoria Secret. Got it at $24.50 plus i got a mystery reward card which might worth $10, $20, $50, $100 or $500. So in fact, I only paid $14.50 for it... Kinda worth it!

The final stop was Irving Mall before we head for our bowling session. I was surprised to find that Dillard was actually a outlet store. Their cothings were marked down more than 70%. But most of them are not so nice!!!! But among all, still able to grab 1 white jean skirt and 1 fold down cargo pants.... Guess wat! they were with additional 50% off... so only paid $3 bucks each.

Just cant stop shopping!!!

Lovely Monday

Hubby was on his guard-duty off day yesterday.He reached home early in the morning 8.30am then we had home-made siew mai together before we went out for our shopping cum marketing!

Grapevine again! Went to return both yoga pants from Gap, found defects (treads are all loose and a little hole) Got my money back without question ask! Simply in love with their return policy!!!!

Today, Hubby is on guard duty. For me, the agenda for the day is to continue packing our stuff but 3/4 are all packed... only left electronics and hubby's clothing which are his responsibilities LOL! So instead, I head out for my coupon shopping. I had a crazy time at Tom thumb today. Look at the things I bought:

I bought all these for less than $5!!! Super proud of myself! The cashier and the next customer in line were so amazed... the next minute I could feel my face burning hot... Super Pai sieh!

Just can't image my life without coupon in a few months time!!!!

New learnt dish - 卤面

Got the recipe from the web. Started preparing the broth at 3pm.. main ingredients shrimps shells and the chicken bones...simmer for about 2hours. The result was really good...worth the effort!!!! Even hubby also commended it!!!

Family Planning

For the past 3 months, Hubby and I talk about family planning- to have a baby! Our initial plans was to have one after the first year of our marriage but it changes when hubby got posted to USA for 2 years.

Many of my friends have encourage me to have one in USA since I am not working, easier to conceive in a stress- free environment and the baby can get a USA birth certificate. I know there are many pros having a baby here but the thought of taking care all alone by myself in a foreign country inevitably makes me so worried. Back then, I know I am NOT psychically, mentally and emotionally ready for one. So, we have decided to delay our mission.

So, is it time to put our Mission into action???? The answer is YES! YES! It's an exciting time in our life! We have decided to expand our family and take the plunge into parenthood. I am confident that we are able to do this and definitely run a better chance of bringing a happy healthy child into this world. And a lot more love!

Starting tomorrow, 14th March, I will be 1 hour closer to Home. What a naive thought and i know is absolutely ridiculous, because what I am talking about is the time difference between SG and Dallas. It will then be 13hrs instead of 14hrs.

After 1:59:59am it will become 3am. There will be no 2:15am on that day or 2:33am either. We’re just going to skip that hour, like it doesn’t exist.

Express 1-dish meal

Boxes arrived on Wednesday. Had already started on packing some of my stuff.... now going for my Box: 16.... Heewww! super tired! In order to conserve my energy, have been cooking express but delicious 1- dish meal for hubby for the past few days.

This morning, was cleaning up my fridge and found a packet of frozen tapioca in the freezer which I bought many months ago so decided to make some steam tapioca kueh for hubby. Is a very simple recipe which doesn't need too many ingredients.

Came across the recipe for Mee Siam

Just realised there were Singapore & Malaysian Style

Singapore style: has gravy & a combination of sweet, sour, spicy and made with fermented yellow bean

Malaysian style: dried and spicy

In the end, we chose Singapore style. Started preparing the ingredients at 4pm. As this was my first attempt cooking this dish, it took me quite a while to get the taste rite!!! It came out not-so-bad but definitely need further improvements!!!!

To put an end to a perfect meal, we had Mango jelly dessert. It was so refreshing!!!! Hubby had 3 of them....now then I know hubby loves jelly so much!!!!

When hubby was back from work, he told me a not-so-bad news. He was ask to change to morning shift for this whole week... It was kinda last minute decision lor! But I was happy... cos i prefer him to work in the morning....

Sunday Dinner - Nasi Lemak

After our bowling session, we went home for dinner. Hubby has been craving for Malay cuisine since last week. Guess wat! I whipped up a fabulous home cooked Nasi Lemak for him. I prepared the rice & Ikan bilis with Samabl while hubby fixed up the cucumber & fried chicken wings. Everything turned out super great!!!!!

Beginning of a New Day

There are days when I feel okay, good and trying to fight and be strong for this trial. There are days also when I just feel so down and low, and I can't do anything productive because my emotions are pulling me down. And so, I am thankful for this beautiful phrases below. I read them often especially in the morning when I wake up for motivation.
