It is with great sadness that I announce that our beloved Squeaky has passed. He was laid to rest this afternoon, 30 January 2010 at 12.30pm after a battle with it's hind leg. He was 13 years old.

Mom brought him to the vet for his weekly review hoping that his condition would improve. After the checkup, was told by vet that Squeaky's condition has deteriorated. It has now developed into severe paralysis of it's hind leg and both front legs were also swollen. There's nothing could be done and the only humane measure is to put him to sleep. Sis called me and I was so shocked then tears started to roll down. I started calling out his name through the cellphone speaker as squeaky laid painfully on the table. Mom held him for those last few minutes while the vet administered the shot that put him to sleep. Grief started to set in....

He is one of a kind and will truly missed by all of us and our extended family who loved him as much as we did.

My 29th Birthday

I turned 29 on the 24th January.

Hubby will always ask me what I want or just bring me out to choose!

But this year, was different.

When the clock strikes 12, he presented me my present!

It was a top from Forever 21 which I have tried last week

and have been thinking whether to buy it or not!!!!

Cos Hubby was sick after he came home from work on Wednesday
So I was busy nursing his health
Hubby got a pretty bad sore throat and down with fever too
Luckily, everything is fine now!!!!
Hubby is back to himself again!!!!

New Taiwanese Drama 海派甜心!

Recently, I am back on Taiwan drama again... I am watching 海派甜心 by Show Lou & Rainie Yang. Hubby and I love it so much! It is a comedy and romance drama which can make you laugh and at the same time make you cry as the story move along.

海派甜心 talks about a guy name xue hai (casted by Show Luo) who is a rich guy yet was fully protected since young. In order to be independent, he decided to study overseas all by himself.

To hide his real identity, his sister gave him a fake name during his oversea studies...name as Lin Da Lang...(idea came from pink panther)...Soon later, he met a girl call Chen Bao Zhu (casted by rainie yang)

In between the story, there are misunderstanding between Lin Da Lang and Chen Bao Zhu...is all about relationship...So 3 year later...They met again..What happen next? Find out for urself... Is a Must watch drama! Can't wait for this coming sunday to come!

Latest updates - Squeaky stood up on his own yesterday and was able to walk a few steps
Everyone in the family is so happy for him!!!!

He loves to squeak... that's how his name came about

He is 13 years old now but still has a baby face

He is just like our little brother at home

Something bad happen to him recently, his hind leg condition got worsen

He was unable to walk after he was back from his grooming.

Sis immediately brought him to the vet, got an injection

After the checkup, doctor told us that it was not life threatening

squeaky still has a strong heart and everything seems normal

But need to review again in a week's time

After back from vet, Squeaky was weak. He just laid on his favourite cushion

He was unable to move. He would bark to express his frustration

OMG!!!! this makes us all heart pain..... SOB SOB

Whenever, squeaky wants to do his "business", he will squeak to get mom's attention then mom will carry him. Very smart boy!!!

So far, there are slight improvements! Squeaky is able to sit up as per normal doggy

but one side of his leg is still weak...

So everyday, mom or dad will have to massage his legs muscels regularly

What I can do now is to pray for Squeaky's recovery...

Hope everything will be fine!!!!!

A shopping Day!!!!

Went to a few malls today - Vista Ridge, Grapevine & Galleria!!!!! Spent a total of $75 bucks!!!

This time, didn't get anything from Forever 21. Just did a return of the top which I bought last week then got the jeans zipper dress. Got the last piece Size S at Galleria.... So happy!!! Finally got what I always wanted!!!!!

Hollister is another brand that I have been eyeing for a long time but their stuff are always so expensive. Finally, there are on sales now - 50% off!!!! Grabbed 3 tops for myself and 1 for hubby!!! only for $5 each!!! Only left limited sizes and designs!!!

My greatest buy for the day was at Aerie. Their wired cotton and push-up bras (selective designs) are on sales. Originally priced at $29.50 - $34.50. Now selling at $6.90 each after 30% additional off reduced price... Cannot resist the temptation. Got 7 bras only for $41 (after using $10 off gift card).

Shopping trip

Wanna to check out the sales at Hollister and Forever 21...... so hubby woke up earlier and brought me to Grapevine for a 2hours shopping spree!!! Yippi....

First stop, Hollister. Many items were on clearance but most of my sizes were all gone... So, this weekend, we will try our luck again at other Malls. Hopefully the sales is still on.

At Forever 21, got a top and a dress. Don't really have enough time so just grab and pay....without even trying them on. The dress fits me well but not the top... is way to baggy le! makes me look fat lor!!! So, will be returning the top!!! Luckily, there is a return policy!!!

Updates on our Road trip in April

After the discussion with sis and brother in law, we have decided to go to San Francisco, Seattle then to Vancouver. We will be meeting them in San Francisco on the 10 April 2010. They will be here till 24 April 2010.

We have came up with a brief itinerary:

10 - 13 April : San Francisco

13 April morning : Fly from San Francisco to Seattle

13-15 April : Seattle

15-17 April : 3 Hours drive to Vancouver

17 April: Seattle back to Dallas

Yesterday, we have already booked our air tickets as well as the car rental... the price were kinda resonable....

Air tickets to SFO: $140 per person

Air tickets from SFO to seattle: $80 per person

Car rental at SFO: $150

Car rental at Seattle and Vancouver : $250

As for our lodging, hubby is still in the midst of his research. Most probably, will be confirming by early next week.

Weekly deals @ CVS & Walgreens!!!!

This was a great week for CVS. They were having a post christmas 90% clearance sales for all items. Able to grabs lots of them! Especially the gift wrapper... Original priced at $5.99-$8.99.... now $0.60 - $0.90!!! Hershey chocolate $0.35 each!!!! Bought them together with the weekly sales items and with coupons. Got all these items for free!!!! Without OOP (out of pocket)!!!!

As for this week's Walgreens, they have limited items that generate register rewards. After careful planning, still managed to do 2 transactions and got a little profit making of $0.50....

Achievements!

Yesterday night, went Chloe's hse with Angel and Irene while our hubbies attended a farewell party at St Marin's function room. Chloe specially baked a condensed Milk cholocate cake to welcome us! Thanks! It tasted so yummy... very moist! Love it!

After that, we and yy headed to CVS and Walgreens for our coupon shopping!!!!!!

Did 7 transactions at CVS and profit making was $7. As for Walgreens, did 3 transactions profit making $2. More to come for this weekend!!!!!

Random

Yesterday, Hubby left work at 7am... tried to fall back to sleep but can't. So, I woke up and started preparing the ingredients needed for tonight's dinner. Dinner was simple: (1) stir-fried baby bok choy and (2) braised chicken wings.

Once everything was done, I continued reading the last few chapters of my novel, 'Sisters by Danielle steel' , very dramatic and suspenseful one! Luckily, it ended with a happy closure! The next novel will be 'The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella'. Will start to read once I got the time.

Meanwhile, I am starting on scrapbooking again! After taking a super duper long break...or rather LAZY!!! LOL! It time for creativity again!!! I did only 1page, which was also the last page for my Colorado skiing trip. The design looked simple but it took me almost 3 hours to sort out the design and putting the photos in place...no choice .. my creative brain started to get rusty! From now on, will have to refer to website to get more interesting layouts!

You all must be wandering... Wat's the occasion rite???? Today was just a normal day... no special occasion at all .. just wanted to prepare something impressive than usual....

Monday

How we spend our Monday? I would say very wisely....

We started our day late at about 2pm. Had our lunch at the Vietnamese restaurant then headed to the nearest CVS and Walgreens to get another few deals of the week. Then, went Toy r us to check out any Playstation 3 games on sales... apparently there was none! By then, the Weather was too cold for us... so we decided to head home instead....
Profit making = $6..... with no OOP!

What's for dinner? I cooked a new dish... known as "Mongolian Beef" (from my Kitchen snippet - link here). I always have difficulty cooking beef, it always turned out stiff and somehow tasted wired... LOL! But this time, it turned out really good.... got compliments from hubby too! The beef was tender and sauce was special... very simple dish, you all should give it a try!!

3rd Day of 2010

Had a wonderful weekend. Got lots of good deals from CVS, Walgreens & Target! Just simply in LOVE with couponing! Really save alot by using coupons!

Also, went to check out Bath Works 75% Madness sales at Vista Ridge Mall... took the advantage of $10 off $40 coupon and 2 gift cards... only paid a few bucks! And last destination was FOREVER 21... I will never give this store a miss... LOL! Went to their sales corner, hoping to grab a few cheap dresses/tops! In the end, bought 2 causal dresses...

Only paid Less than $4 for all the stuff.. amazing rite!

Tomorrow, hubby will be on off... which means he do not need to report to work... still have no idea where to go yet....

New Year's Day!

Today is the first day of year 2010!

& Hubby is on guard duty! Will only be back tomorrow morning!
