Our 1st Family Road Trip in a week's time

As the time gets closer, I am really looking forward to going on our first "big" family vacation. On this family trip, we will be heading to San Deigo and Los Angeles (7D6N), it is to celebrate our cheeky boy's a year a half birthday and advance mother's day. 

We are in for a real treat. We are set to see Xavier's favorite Disney Jr characters (winnie the pooh, goofy, mickey mouse etc) Yep, definitely this one is a big hit!

First taste of Braum ice cream

Braum's has really good ice cream and is so much cheaper than other ice cream chains like Ben and Jerry's or Marble Slab.

We had a double dip cone for only $1.99

Xavier loves strawberries so had a scoope of real, red delicious strawberry

and a scope chocolate chip for hubby
Needless to say, we enjoyed it! 

Day 36 - We're so glad when papa comes home...

Day 36 - 22 April Monday

Xavier really was so glad when papa got home

The way he reacted really makes me think he loves him more than me

Oh well, he was not the only one who's happy when papa got home

Xavier shouted papa twice before Hubby appeared infront of him

At first, he was a little taken aback

next, he ran over to him and gave me a big hug

Aww~~~ Super sweet!
He could barely contain his happiness 
and started showing papa his new tricks and toys

There was a whole-lotta-luv in this household when papa got home
We were all giddy and smiley and happy to be together again....

Day 32 - 18 months photo shoot

 Day 32 - 18 Apr Thursday

At 18 months old, I decided to get some nice shoots for my little cheeky boy

With the current promo at Target, it comes with free sitting and one free 8R traditional portrait, so I thought why not so I called them and booked an appointment. 

I have a great studio experience

The staff was very patient and good at what she does 

Got some great shots considering the challenge with my boy

Definitely will go back for more! 

Day 31 - 18 months old well check

Day 31 - 17 Apr, Wednesday 

Went for his 18 months well check as well as Hep A vaccine

He weighed 24lbs and 33 1/4 inches tall

That puts in the 70th percentile for height and 20th percentile for weight

Doc said he was growing and gaining pounds just fine

Xavier's always been long and lean! 

The doctor checked him over and said he looks perfect

He has met all his milestones even verbally

Yippi! 

Xavier now can hold a pen and imitates scribbling 

He starting to hold the pen between the thumb and first 3 fingers 

So cute!!!! 

Day 27 & 28

Day 27 - 13 Apr Saturday

Had lunch with Candy, Chloe and baby Ryder at Le Madeleine

grab my fav potato soup and egg sandwich 

yummy! 

After lunch, we ran a couple of errands 

and then we head over to Sam's club to buy the meatballs and cookies 

for the evening BBQ at Oaks

Day 28 -14 Apr Sunday

Had early dinner at Omi Korean BBQ

I have been wanting to try this for sometime 

finally got to try the food

Oh... the short rib is weelicious!!!

Definitely will give it a try again... 

After dinner, we did a little grocery shopping at Hmart 

before we head over to Yogurt Land for ice-cream

Day 26 - Xavier is a year and a half!

Little boy, you are 18 months old today! Happy half birthday!

They” say that parenting just keeps getting better and better and they grow and turn into little people, and they are right! It has been a glorious past 18 months, and the best is yet to come!

 As I was trying to think of what to share my mind just kept going back to how much fun you we have together. My heart seriously bursts with love just thinking about your cuteness!!!
 
I cherish all the moments I get being home with you. I'm loving you as a little friend although sometimes I miss you as a baby. You are smart and funny and friendly and so beautiful. I love you!!!!!

Day 24 - a rainy and gloomy day!

Day 24 - 10 Apr Wednesday 

It was a rainy, gloomy and windy day  

Temperature drop to a single digit 

 freezing cold!!! Brr... 

So, we had to stay home for some indoor activities 

time for scribble and play-doh time 

My cheeky boy way of draining his energy

Day 23

9 April Tuesday

After quarantine my sick baby for 2 days 

finally we were out for some fun and fresh air 

Gymboree class at 10am

Xavier loves going to gymboree, loves to play with other kids and do group activities 

and I notice every time we go he is getting more and more involved

He even walk and sit right in front of the teacher and listen to her sing

Love to see that he's back to his cheeky self :)

After Xavier woke up from his nap, brought him out for a walk 
Busy chasing after the birds
He's got so much patience to keep calling for bird bird to return..

Day 18-22

Day 18 - 4 April Thursday 

Went shops at willow bend together with Candy, Judy, Chloe and baby Ryder

the must-visit stores were H&M and Forever 21

Before we head out, had whole wheat banana cranberry muffins for breakfast

For me, I bought a few chiffon tops for summer 

Finally gotten the suspender outfit with a matching T-shirt for my cheeky boy 

after the Free gift card of $6 thru wrapp apps and 20% coupon 

final price $15

Ended our day at secret recipe for dinner 

Day 19 - 20 5 -6 Apr 

These 2 days were the hardest and most tiring day for me

I am down with diarrhea and fever 

and Xavier was down with a fever too

It was really a challenge for me 

After a night of monitoring and medication

Luckily, our fever slowly came back to normal by the morning 

Woke up with a smile 

Day 21-22  7-8 Apr

We stayed home for 2 days to monitor the temperature

yeah! we have recovered... no more fever!!!

Time for some fresh air

Well I thought that I got away with the diarrhea. I was wrong!

It's getting from bad to worst

my stomach was churning non stop

Thanks heavens, I'm all healed now!
