Day after Christmas 2012

The morning was so beautiful and peaceful with the un-melted snow

The weather was very very cold

range from -2 to -6 degrees

Brr.... Brr...

 

While admiring the scenary

spotted a group of squirrel chasing up and down the trees and branches

and making lots of noise

googled and found that this period was their mating season

the male squirrel was making the mating call

 the female were playing "hard to get"

~~~ So interesting!

Then, we head to Walmart to grab for discounted Christmas items

But before that, Hubby had a hard time clearing the ice on our car

White Christmas 2012

Hubby and I had our first white Christmas in year 2009

3 years later, we felt so blessed to experience it again together with our cheeky boy!

 

This year, we had an awesome Christmas Day 

with heavy snowfall that last for 4 hours

and freezing real feel temperature of -12 degrees!

After Xavier had his lunch

we put on his layers of gears and went out to enjoy the snow!!

We were all very excited but Xavier was the most excited one!
 can't wait to leave the house :)

Snowflake landed on his hand... Luckily was wrapped up in his bodysuit
It was seriously very cold... Brrr..

After an hour plus, the grass and rooftop were covered by thick layers of snow
Breath taking view!

 

  After Xavier took a nap

We went out to take a few couple shots
somehow the photos looks funny... it seems like super impose de...

In the evening, we took a few more night shots
all our faces were freezing cold and numb
Xavier was all stiff up..LOL!!!

This sum up our Christmas in year 2012... with a pot of steamboat with Candy and his hubby :)

 

Christmas party at base 21 December 2012

 

This is our first time attending an event at base

Not many wives attended.. guess most of the kids have school on that day

The event started at 1.30pm and ended at about 4pm

The party started with lunch,

magic show for kids

photo session with Santa

and lastly the gift exchange

 

At first, I was worried that Xavier might have stranger aniexty

when seeing a crowd of unfamiliar faces

But everything went so well....

He was walking, smiling and allow gor gor jiejie uncles aunties to carry him

So proud of him.... 

 

Uncle Phua carried Xavier while papa and mama R&R

 

First time seeing a real life Santa...

buddy frowned and obviously puzzled

Must be thinking... who's this uncle with white bear????

Recently, Xavier is learning to pose infront of the camera

whenever papa bring out his big big camera... he's ready with his cheeky smile

So, when he saw Yanwen's camera... he started to pose... so cute!

Kudos to Yanwen who took all these stunning photos. 

 

Buddy imitate us when all of us started to laugh at him!
