Bye bye baby! Hello, Toddler!

tod·dler n. One who toddles, especially a young child learning to walk.

So I guess it makes Xavier officially a toddler now. He's definitely a very interested toddler and enjoys tons of fun toddling around the house. Across the living room, in our bed room, along the corridor. It is really amusing to watch him toddling around. He looks like a drunkard baby especially when he tries to maintain his balance every time he gets wobbly. And every time when we thought he is going to fall, he manages to put the right foot down and stay balance on track.

After his First birthday, Xavier's development has been monumental. He is learning to pick up one-syllable word and can say "Cheers" "Ball" "Kiss" "Papa" "Mama" and "Ah Ma" with really clear enunciation. How excited Ah ma and us when he called us.

Of course like a puppy who has learnt new tricks, we have been practising hard with him; making him say those words whenever the context applies. He usually complies, gets lots of hearty responses. He smiles. We laugh.

Besides mastering the art of saying his first word, he is learning to sign or rather gesture. The first gesture he mastered was non other than the "wave"  followed by "scare" and "Finish/ no more".

Pure Joy

This kid is pure joy. He's honestly happy like 90 percent of the time.

He loves to play peek-a-boo with papa.

He learnt a lot more baby gestures this month

Finish/no more - will shake his both hands

Scare - hand will tap his chest

Buddy's First Road Trip (3D 2N)

Day 1- 17 Oct 2012, Wednesday

 

This is our very first road trip together with little buddy

and we are happy that we did it!

He's such a good boy through the whole ride,

We love u, little traveller!

 

This time the trip is very different

we took a coach instead of driving

 

We set off at 5.30am

to board the coach at 6.30am

the whole journey took about 5 hours with no pitstop

 

the coach is spacious, clean, with toilet and free WIFI

and the ticket is just USD 4 (to and fro)

cheap rite? Highly recommend :)

After we alight the coach, we pick up our rental car

and made our way to our hotel - comfort suite

about 15mins drive

 comes with 2 queen bed and a convertible sofa bed

We had subway for lunch 

and reached san marcos outlet around 2pm

 

we ended our shopping at 845pm. just 15 mins before they officially closed.

HEWW! I'm so amazed we manage to walk finished the whole outlet

within 7 hours...So Li Hai! The walking really kills our sole.

 

Head over to Chilli's for dinner

After that, we went back to hotel

All of us were dead tired

That was how we ended our first day

Day 2- 18 Oct 2012, Thursday

 

Started our day early at 9.30am

Drove about 1.5hours to another outlet

- round rock premium outlet

although the area was smaller than san marcos

but the deals were definitely better :)

 

 

while mum and sis were shopping,took buddy for a ride

 Headed to boiling pot for dinner

 

 

 

Day 3- 19 Oct 2012, Friday

 

Happy days always passes so fast

today is the last day of our trip

check out at 11am and head over

saddest thing - did not manage to catch shamu show

the show time was at 4.30pm

and our coach was 6.30pm

too rush for us

Hubby simply loves thrilling ride, went ahead alone

just a few minutes, he's down

and comment - the rides not shiok enough.... WHAHA!

Our First Road Trip

Ah dear will be on leave till first week of Novemeber

and we have planned lots of exciting events

hope it will be a fun filled one for buddy

 

Our first road trip with our little buddy to

San Marcos, San antonio sea world and Austin

Milestone - walking

Walking has always been one of the milestones that I personally wanted to see a lot. And Buddy has been doing rather well in this area. Here is one of the latest video that I caught him walking. Good Job, buddy!!
